Artwork in this gallery is on display in solo exhibits at the Horticultural Society of New York (June 9 – 30, 2010) and the San Francisco Botanical Garden (January 3 – April 30, 2011). A catalogue of the exhibit is available for purchase.
This is a project to document species and hybrid roses through watercolor portraits, plus companion annotated drawings and color samples assembled in informal collages. The artist works directly with live plants and revisits the roses at different times of the year to capture their development through the seasonal cycle.
