Original Artwork

Some of the original paintings and drawings shown in the Rose Studies and Botanical Images galleries are available for purchase. Click here for a list.

Prints

Fine art giclée prints in limited editions are available for purchase as indicated in the galleries. These are museum-quality digital reproductions of the original artwork, printed with archival ink on 100% cotton acid-free archival paper. I authorize each proof for accuracy of detail and color before printing, so that the prints precisely match the original watercolors or drawings.

Limited edition prints are individually signed and numbered in graphite pencil by me. A numbered, signed and dated Certificate of Authenticity is provided with each print.

Each print is mounted using photo corners on museum board and packaged in an acid-free transparent sleeve with the Certificate of Authenticity inserted.

To order prints, contact me by phone or e-mail. For each print you wish to purchase, please provide the following information:

  • The title of the artwork
  • The size of the print
  • How many you wish to purchase in that size

Please also provide your name, mailing address, and contact information (phone and/or e-mail).

Rose Studies exhibit catalogue

Most of the watercolors and drawings shown in the Rose Studies gallery are included in solo exhibits at the Horticultural Society of New York in June 2010, and the San Francisco Botanical Garden January through April 2011.

The catalogue for the exhibit contains introductory essays, and full-page images of both the watercolor and the drawings for ‘Jude the Obscure’, ‘Faith Whittlesey’, ‘Golden Threshold’, ‘Mutabilis’, ‘Harison's Yellow’, Rosa fedtschenkoana, Rosa gigantea, Rosa chinensis spontanea, Rosa foetida bicolor, Rosa moschata, Rosa roxburghii normalis, Rosa gallica, and Rosa californica — plus watercolors of ‘Altissimo’, ‘Francis E. Lester’, ‘Knock Out’, and Rosa rugosa.

The full-color catalogue, 40 pages, 8" x 5.5", is $20.

A Portfolio of Roses

The illustrations in the Roses in Black and White gallery were created for The Sustainable Rose Garden Reader, edited by Pat Shanley, Peter Kukielski and Gene Waering (Casemate Athena, 2010).

A portfolio of giclée prints of all twelve illustrations is available for purchase in a limited edition of 25. Each portfolio is $50.

Images in the portfolio are printed on heavy acid-free paper 11" x 8.5", with translucent, acid-free vellum interleaves, enclosed in a linen cardstock folder and envelope. Each print is hand-initialed and numbered in graphite pencil. Each portfolio contains a full-color title sheet, a list of the images, and a Certificate of Authenticity numbered and signed by hand.
